Have you ever been lost while you are on your holiday?  That feeling that you do not know where you are is really nerve-racking, especially if there is no one near to ask directions. You might be desperate, but just as all problems have solving, you can also make things to find your right way.

1. Technical devices
With the help of contemporary technology, you can easily determine where you are and find the way you are supposed to go. There are mobile phones, Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) devices and portable Internet devices that are available to us. The easiest thing you can do when you are lost is to call by mobile phone someone who has access to Internet or to a map and ask for direction. On the other hand, with the help of GPS you can easily locate road maps and destinations.

2.Compass
In case that you prefer the old way of doing things, there are still ways to get out of your situation. For instance, a compass can be very useful. Just determine where you are now and look for the direction where you have to go. Also there are techniques that were used in the ancient time, so if you have no a compass you can determine your position depending on the position of the sun, moon or stars.

3. Map
A map is a must! Before going to holiday familiarize yourself with the targeted place, highways and roads. Find famous landmarks and things that you can recognize during the trip. Also, you can use maps that are available on the Internet.

4. Road Signs
The base is to read the road signs. Each town or highway is marked with signs or arrows and the only thing you have to do is to follow them.

5. Ask people for direction
Do not hesitate to ask others for the right direction. Local people are certainly more acquainted with the place than you, no doubt in this.
